Welcome to Sandy Cove Chalets Inc. We’re an oceanside Chalet Rental located in scenic Sandy Cove, Port de Grave, NL

Port de Grave is located on the Avalon Peninsula, in central Conception bay about an hour from St John’s, 25 minutes to Carbonear and 5 minutes to Bay Roberts where you can get groceries as well as many other supplies.

Sandy Cove Chalet’s is uniquely positioned mere feet from the ocean’s cliff edge. With a large wrap around deck, you won’t miss any action on the water.

Sandy Cove Chalet’s is a 450 sq ft mini boutique chalet with all amenities needed for a Comfortable stay. We have a full kitchen with a gas range, vaulted dining and living area with a gas fireplace, 3 piece washroom with a shower, and a loft bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed.

Due to our proximity to the ocean we have a very good viewing point for aquatic wildlife.

From our Chalet’s at the right time of year, you can spot; Whales, both Minke and Humpback, Common and White Sided Dolphins, Porpoise’s, Blue Fin Tuna, Seals, Sea Otters, Sunfish, Capelin Rolling, Eagles, Osprey and many others.

Port de Grave has one of the largest harbours in the area which makes it a great spot to watch the fishing boats coming and going as they make their way out in the bay and on to the Grand Banks.

On the Avalon, there is lots to do from scenic hikes and drives, history exploring, fishing, Cape St Mary’s Ecological Reserve, mistaken Point or a day in St Johns.

And nearby off of the peninsula, the town of Trinity, Terra Nova National Park and Bonavista to name a few places.

And for those who like to wander a bit further, Fogo, Twillingate, Gander, Harbour Breton, Marble Mountain, Rocky Harbour, Gros Morne, L’Anse aux Meadows Viking site and St Anthony at the northern tip is always a neat experience. And if you always wanted to visit France without the 10 hr flight, St.Pierre & Miquelon is the place to visit.
